The New Prince or Princess

Well in England the streets are buzzing with what Kate Middleton will have, a boy or a girl. This is not the first time that Kate’s baby bump has caused headlines. There are a lot of bets that have been places on the sex and name of the baby.

Personally I hope that the new addition to the royal family is a girl. A little princess would really make the royal family complete. Also can you imagine all the amazing jewelry she would get!

I know that Prince William is clearly taken…..but don’t worry ladies his brother Harry is still available!

Remembering Paul

The Fast and the Furious movies are based on cars and action. The movies are thrilling and action packed with crazy racing scenes and car chases. Recently the franchise completed its seventh movie. Unfortunately one of the main characters in the series, Paul Walker, tragically died in a car accident. With the release of the newest Fast and Furious movie there are a lot of Walker tributes.

Starting with the MTV movie awards where some of the cast came on stage and gave an emotional memorial speech for their friend. In addition, some musicians have contributed to the final movie and sang memorial songs that were featured. In remembrance of Paul Walker the cast and crew was ecstatic when the action movie broke records making 50 million dollars on opening weekend. In addition to that amazing record it was also the only movie that was released that weekend. All of these factors made Fast and Furious Seven the record breaking opening weekend for an action movie.

Tis’ the Season for Coachella

Coachella is everyones favorite music festival of the year. Imagine a modern day Woodstock where people of all ages can come together and enjoy the music and  sunny California. But the most popular part of the three day concert is the fashion. For the past few years this has been the most popular event that draws celebrities and fashionistas out in their most boho chic clothing options.

This is the season where anything goes and showering is optional in this flashback to the 70’s in the middle of a California field. This year the fashion did not disappoint and there is still more to come but so far the fringe and loose pant look are back and bigger than ever. The Bieber Roast

Last night was the airing of the Justin Bieber roast and it was amazing. For all of those who didn’t see it Martha Stewart killed it, Snoop was “smokin’ and drinkin'”, and there were a lot of Isis jokes for no real reason. The roast master was Kevin Heart and he did not disappoint. First he introduced Bieber with a choir and Justin descended from the ceiling with white angel wings cascading down his back.

However with all the laughs there were some crazy jokes that really pushed the limits. Some of these included references to the terrorist group Isis, the 9/11 terrorist attacks that changed America for years after, and of course the traditional teenage pregnancy abortion jokes. These comments came through with brute force and had noticeable reactions from the roast panel and audience.

Some of the funnier moments included the 73 year old, Martha Stewart, getting up and destroying every roast member on the stage and Ron Burgundy coming out of no where and getting the most laughs of the night. In addition there was Shaquille O’Neal towering over every other human….ever. Overall the night was full of ruthless jokes and putting Justin Bieber back in his place.

The End of the 1D Era

 

This week teenage hearts broke across the world. There are so many young girls that are currently sobbing over the loss of Zayn Malik from the boy band One Direction. The news is bubbling with different takes on why the superstar left the billion dollar boy band. This band came over from the UK and swept the nation with their catchy songs and dreamy good looks. These boys pushed their way into our hearts and onto the music charts.

One Direction is coming up to another major tour and a lot of fans are wondering how the tour can continue without a major voice in the band. Meanwhile rumors are swirling as too why Zayn left the band. Some media outlets are thinking that the cheating rumors are true and that he had to leave to win his fiancee’s heart back. However there are others saying that drugs could have been involved and rehab may be in this heart throbs future. There is always the reality that fame was just to much for the introvert and he wanted to remove himself from the spotlight.

In any case the world famous band is breaking up after five years together. Unfortunately for the millions of 1D fans in the world there probably isn’t going to be another album or tour, causing for mass hysteria among “Directioners”. While boy bands tend to have a short shelf life, no one knew that the band would be breaking up so soon, especially after all of the success that they had in the industry.

As a fan of One Direction myself, you will be missed Zayn. But congratulations on breaking more hearts than Harry Styles ever did!

Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder…..Sometimes

This season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been packed with drama. There’s been wine throwing, glass throwing and the inevitable questioning of Kim Richards’ sobriety. Well its been rumored that this reunion is one of the harshest ones to air yet. As the ladies sat on the couches, the tension in the room boiled over leading to some of the most vial quotes to come out of what appear to be “classy” and “intelligent” women. Here are some of the reported quotes that I’m talking about:

Brandi: “I don’t throw wine glasses, I throw wine!”
Lisa R.: “You throw wine? What’s the f—ing difference?”
Brandi: “It’s called assault and battery, bitch!”

“You’re horrible! This is why I don’t like her!” Kim to Kyle.

Lisa R.: “You shut the f— up. I am so sick of you.”
Kim: “Go eat!”

“But you did Diving With the Stars…” Andy throwing shade at Kim.

“You’ve had the same hairdo for 20 years!” Brandi to Lisa R.

Kyle: “I don’t walk around naked with a tampon string hanging out.”
Brandi: “Because you don’t get your period anymore, bitch.”

“You’re so f—ing mean! Just leave me alone!” Kyle to Kim.

If those were said in public I can only imagine the words that the ladies of Beverly Hills say behind closed doors. However with all that said there is really nothing that compares to the entertainment factor that all the drama brings to viewers lives. I can’t wait to see what other drama pops up during the three part reunion! 

Giuliana vs. Zendaya

The Story: So on the last episode of Fashion Police one of the hosts Giuliana Rancic saw Zendaya walk onto the carpet of the 2015 Oscar Awards and that is where the drama began. The E! correspondent made the comment that Zendaya’s dread filled hair looked like it smelled like patchouli oil…. or weed. Now I personally love everything the Fashion Police does, they come out are give honest opinions on celebrities that most people are afraid to say out loud.

So then this whole controversy comes out. Honestly wahhh Zendaya. I understand that there are some comments that take it too far, and making racists comments are never ok, however the show is meant to be funny and controversial. And in my honest opinion if Joan Rivers was still alive and had said something like that this wouldn’t even had been a thing. Joan said some of the most inappropriate, wild and controversial comment that cable tv has ever seen and she never apologized for being who she was and saying what she thought people needed to hear.

That’s why I’m with Giuliana she made a comment that in the moment seemed relevant and made everyone laugh. Thats what the show is about pushing the envelope for the entertainment of their viewers. So keep on keeping on Giuliana, this Joan Ranger is behind everything you do!

The Oscars Came and Conquered

Last night was full of music, theatrics and of course the little gold man. Neil Patrick Harris brought the jokes, magic and tighty-whities. There was fashion for days some good and some bad. First things first the fashion. J.Lo took the plunge literally. Lupita Nyong’o wore her finest pearls, and her mothers and her grandmothers, basically there are no more pearls left in the world. Rosamund Pike looked incredible post baby. And Julianne Moore looked stunning in custom Chanel (But don’t we all?). However with all the hits there were many misses. Lady  Gaga came straight from doing the dishes. Gwyneth Paltrow couldn’t leave her new pet flower at home and Jared Leto has the hair of a homeless man. While ScarJo took a sewed bath pre-carpet.

So who won? Well Eddie Redmayne is the newest leading man. Julianne Moore may outlive her husband. Patricia Arquette’s twelve years of filming for boyhood paid off, even for all us women. “Birdman” won Best Picture and Best Directer categories proving that green cards do make dreams come true.

However no award show is free from controversy. Some wondered if NPH’s jokes went too far. Maybe but whats the point of having an award show without some name flubs and race jokes? Well I think Neil killed it and came in and out with a bang. We love you Barney Stinson!

Bruce or Brenda?

We all know Bruce Jenner as the olympic athlete who took home gold medals and was an American hero……and from everyones favorite Armenian gypsy clan the Kardashians. Well now, at the tender age of 65, he is transitioning to a woman. OMG. Apparently he is also going to do a sit down interview with Diane Sawyer and of course an E! special going through the process with him. I’ve been following this story from the beginning, and E! has been conveniently running old Keeping up with the Kardashians episodes so that maybe we could see the signs over the years. Over the past year we have seen Bruce with longer/highlighted hair, painted nails and an overall more feminine look. After reading the “People” article that covered mostly insider comments, but the situation overall has been a very public matter. Watching everything play out will make for an interesting future E! special. 

Grammy’s 2015

This is my favorite award show of the season, it is literally like a holiday that I need to celebrate annually. This year I’m really excited to see what Rihanna, Beyonce and Nicki Minaj are wearing on the carpet. However this award show isn’t just about the crazy fashion that everyone pulls out, but also, the performances. I can remember past shows being make or break for some artists. This year will be no exception with Kanye and Rihanna hitting the stage with everyones favorite Beatle, Paul McCartney. This years Grammy Awards are sure to not disappoint all those who tune in!
